RE-ENACTMENT

HOME

Lindy Hop comes from the Harlem ballrooms of the 1920s and 1930s and became the dance craze of the Swing era. Brought to Britain by the G.I.s as the Jitterbug in the 1940s, it’s now widely referred to as swing dancing or Lindy. It’s resurgence in the late 1980s has led to a steady spread across the country and with it, other dances from the period.

Come along and join us for one of our weekly lessons. Information below!

Classes are on a drop-in basis. As there are four of us at each class, personal tuition is never very far away and if you feel you need extra help one of the team can soon have you back up to speed with the rest of the class. Also as we usually end up with even numbers you don’t necessarily need to bring a dance partner.

The first couple of weeks of the longer terms we go back to basics and we re-cap each week.
